Hijikata Tatsumi: two interviews about the dance of darkness

Full direct Japanese-Portuguese translation of two interviews with dancer Hijikata Tatsumi, both preceded by his own historiographical contextualization. They are: "Plucking out the darkness of the flesh..."(1968) and "An evil spirit dances upon the stage in darkness"(1969). Both propose ontologies and methodologies for the dance of darkness, or butoh (ankoku butō), incited by Hijikata’s wandering dialectic with Shibusawa Tatsuhiko and Satō Takeru, his respective interviewers.
