Through a selection of erotic images, shunga, designed by ukiyo-e painters it is aimed to analyse the erotic body model built using methonymical references during Edo period,starting from bride manuals by Hishikawa Moronobu,passing to Harunobu's liric child-like and half sexualized representation,then to Utamaro’s elegant, pleasureseaking and ludic representation Hokusai’s dinamism and full fruition, Eisen scientificism and finally,to the Utagawa artists Toyokuni Kuniyoshi,Kunisada and Yoshitoshi’s tortuosity decadence,violence and madness representation of sex.Downloads
