This paper aims to discuss some aspects of teacher education to, subsequently, turn to the pedagogical practices carried out in the Basic Education classrooms, emphasizing the use of technological resources as a challenging way for the teacher and a more attractive one for the student. Data from the National Educational Plan and PISA, among others, show that Brazilian education has low results in national and/or international assessments, which leads to the question of the quality of the Brazilian school, a very fluid and widely discussed concept that is also discussed here. Many are the possible ways to be pointed out as alternatives for the search for solutions to the many existing problems, but the main focus will ways reverberate in the classroom and in the teacher-student relationship, nuclear in this whole process. Each and every class should be designed taking consideration the knowledge of a real student, with their geographical, social and cultural particularities and their specific interests. This real student today speaks the language of technology, and it is this language that the teacher should approach, taking the best advantage of it to attract attention, arouse interest and establish dialogue as a learning channel.
