This article analyzes the poem “Muitas Vozes”, by Ferreira Gullar, based on the theoretical assumptions of Paris School of Semiotics. The objective is to reflect on how this methodology of analysis of discourses can contribute to the apprehension of the meaning in the poetic text. We focus on the relations between enunciation and utterance and between the expression and content plans in the poem in order to observe how the subject of enunciation constructs the text as an aesthetic event, a notion developed by AJ Greimas in Da imperfeição (2002). We also use the notion of event, developed by Claude Zilberberg (2006, 2007, 2011) and of semi-symbolism, established by Jean-Marie Floch (1985).
