Scenic music is an artistic practice that is organized based on the tension between musical presences and scenic presences, guided by a musical regency that can be understood as a distinctive sensitive basis that guides the relationship between subject and object involved in this practice. Based on the tensive approach, developed mainly by Claude Zilberberg, we make a brief presentation of the dominance, transport and ambivalence strategies between musical and scenic presences, through the gradual and aspectual conformation of the contact modes, to present tensive gradations that configure the styles and points of view provided by scenic music. For exemplifications of the styles, we brought the works by three composers of contemporary Brazilian scenic music: Gilberto Mendes, Willy Corrêa de Oliveira and Tim Rescala.
