Abstract

This article discusses Lacan's conception of paternal function in his comment on Hans case, in Seminar 4, of 1956-57. We intend to show that, at the same time he presents an ideal function of the father, of which elapses his argumentation in favor of the idleness of Hans' father, it is possible to find the presence of elements that announce the conceptual turning that will lead Lacan to conclude that father's function is not pronouncing the interdiction itself, it is related to an ordination of a specific point, already present in the structure.
