Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discuss the status of the letter and literalization in psychoanalysis and in modern science. Our statement is that there is a strict filiation of psychoanalysis at science, and we ask what makes possible that science literalizes its field directly and immediately, while psychoanalysis needs to pass by other ways (named "ex-ways" in this paper) in the field of speaking and of the significant as a required methodological condition of its experience. We suppose that the inclusion of the subject (effect of Language and caused by the significant) in the operatory field of psychoanalysis is the reason of the indirect and mediate way in which the letter operates in the psychoanalytical experience.
