Abstract

We will search the construction of Jacques Lacan about the genesis of the subject in the text The stage of the mirror. For this construction is necessary that the symbolic comes from the imaginary. Is necessary a "Deny" for the construction of this which will come with the primordial affirmation. In this sense, the author of the article will show up the discussion in France during the 50's between Jean Hyppolite and Jacques Lacan about the origin of the symbolic. Therefore we will have the subject of the enunciation. The conclusion of this is the psychic device.
