Abstract

This article aims to discuss some peculiarities of the clinical work with children and adolescents living in public shelters, thus presenting some results of a research work and intending on highlighting the importance of avoiding a label for this clinical experience. Besides, it aims to point out the relevance of the social reality in clinical work as well as the importance of working as a team with the shelter staff and the justice system.
