Abstract

The paper aims to describe and analyze, from the perspective of the dialogue of knowledge  (ACOSTA VALENCIA; PINTO ARBOLEDA; TAPIAS HERNÁNDEZ, 2016a), formative processes of communication collectives in Latin American peripheries, which approach the conception of popular education proposed by Paulo Freire (1978, 1983, 2002). The methodology consisted in the realization of memory workshops in the communication groups Periferia em Movimento (São Paulo, Brazil) and Ciudad Comuna (Medellín, Colombia), in an integral stage of a systematization process of experiences with both groups. Through the research, it was possible to identify significant moments, challenges and potentialities of the educational processes of the collectives, which configure, in a comparative perspective, a popular and peripheral educommunication in the collective, a Freirean reinvention in construction.
