One afternoon, at the Center for Citizenship Rights Studies, the Brazilian Government produced an interesting polarization: on the one hand the “optimists”, on the other the “pessimists” led by Chico de Oliveira, this unauthorized biographer from Brazil. Towards the end of the impasse, which, incidentally, was not resolved, Chico - at that moment still marked by the comings and goings of Lulism - told me: “Honey, do you know what an optimist is? A badly informed pessimist. ”
