This is a reflexion abo u t the concepts of "form" and "formation" (econom ic and social) and its aplication in the com prehension of social and spatial realities. In Geography, form has been reduced to the visible aspect of an external object (and so the landscape). But the richness of the "form /content" dialectics helps us to grasp the process of form ation, deform ation, m etam orphosis and transform ation of the ways of life, that are m ediated by Commodity-Form and capital relations. However, the realization of this Form coincides with the crisis of total social m orphology (nature, urban, politics, language and art, reason etc.) - included itself (valorization crisis, m odernization collapse). So the concept of form ation - revaluated in a negative dialectics key, suggesting the "lived" as irreducible m om ent - engenders a new social physiognom y of unequalities, differences and possibilities in the core of impositive totality of the m arketDownloads
