Despite the growing popularity in Brazil and Spain, the development of geotourism is still at an early stage. While concern for the natural heritage in society has experienced significant growth in recent years, There is still a lack of awareness by the population about theGeological Heritage. Thus, the objective of this paper is to present aspects related to geotourism and how it has been understood at present and provide examples of use of theGeological Heritage in the State of Paraná (Brazil) and the Autonomous Community of Aragón (Spain). The methodology involved field trips, bibliographical research and participant observation. In both countries, there is a need for better recognition of the Geological Heritage and Geotourism as an attraction that should be used more in interpretive and educational activities.Downloads
