Cartografía digital de percepción de usuarios basada en datos de redes sociales como recurso para el proyecto urbano

Resumen

Esta investigación se inscribe en el campo de estudios que buscan utilizar datos de redes sociales y plataformas colaborativas para la comprensión de fenómenos urbanos. Se busca entender de qué manera la visualización de estos datos en mapas de percepción de los usuarios puede ser aplicada como herramienta de diseño. El objetivo principal es evaluar las posibilidades de la cartografía digital de percepción de usuarios generada a través de datos de redes sociales como recurso de diseño mediante la evaluación de proyectistas. El objetivo secundario implica el desarrollo de un artefacto que consiste en una cartografía de las percepciones de los usuarios obtenidas de plataformas de redes sociales. Para ello, se adoptaron los siguientes procedimientos metodológicos: la construcción del problema junto a un grupo focal de expertos diseñadores de una agencia pública local; la recopilación y filtrado de datos de Google Maps e Instagram; el análisis de sentimientos con Amazon Comprehend; la producción de mapas de calor con Mapbox y un mapa interactivo con Google Earth; y la evaluación del artefacto por el grupo focal de expertos. Después del filtrado, se utilizaron los textos e imágenes de 77 publicaciones, de las cuales 54 fueron clasificadas como positivas, 16 como neutras, 5 como mixtas y 2 como negativas. La evaluación de los expertos señaló el potencial de ayuda de la herramienta en las siguientes etapas del proyecto: recepción de la demanda del proyecto; entrevistas y cuestionarios; evaluación de la satisfacción del usuario.
