Woven in first person, this text aims to discuss the singular tragic figure known in the Greek world under the nickname Medea. In the way of updating the narrative of this myth, its ability to articulate with contemporary feminist agendas and its political caliber are discussed. As a path of analysis, we start from the performance experiences undertaken by the actress-researcher Luciana Lyra around this character, encompassing her dramaturgy of the play Guerreiras (2009), her performance in the play Um Berço de Pedra (2016), in the performance Medeacústica (2017- 2018) and in the video performance entitled MEDEA (2021), presented at the event Seismology of performance – Napedra 20 anos.
