This article aims to examine the role of the biographical narrative in the history of science. The present work examines the hybrid character of the biographies and the way the scientific biography is inextricably linked to the vision of Science that prevails in the West in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. We present a biographical sketch of Charles Darwin as a case study.
