Processos migratórios em Rondônia e sua influência na língua e na cultura

Este artigo expõe os aspectos culturais do Estadode Rondônia, enfocando os processos migratórios que ocorreram durante a formação e a ocupação do Estado, em especial, do município de Porto Velho, sua capital. Mostramos como o hibridismo se faz presente em regiões consideradas cosmopolitas
pelos movimentos de povoamento e colonização. O
foco principal desse estudo é a linguagem como forma de identidade, evidenciada em pesquisas realizadas por mais de dez anos em comunidades ribeirinhas. As questões inclusivas mereceram atenção especial e os estudiosos que ajudaram a conhecer melhor os processos que constroem sociedades híbridas foram: Canclini (2006) e Bhabha (1998), reforçando a concepção de que nenhuma cultura é jamais unitária em si mesma, nem simplesmente dualista na relação do Eu com o Outro. Stuart Hall (2003) e Peter McLaren (2000) propiciaram repensar o multiculturalismo enquanto estratégias e políticas adotadas para administrar problemas de diversidade e multiculturalidade. Bakhtin (1988) reforçou que uma língua é inseparável da cultura do local onde é falada e que é ideológica também. Concluímos que o preconceito e a discriminação linguística estão presentes em todas as classes sociais e que
só uma ação que parta dos educadores e dos instrumentos utilizados na escola pode amenizar a situação.
