This article aims to analyze the expressiveness achieved through lexical choices made for metapoema “Cartilha”, that composes Lero-Lero, a collection of poems by Antonio Carlos Ferreira de Brito, known as Cacaso. In this poem, there is an enunciator that wills to teach; to expose his teachings about making poetry. His ideological position can be evidenced by the selection of words that he does. Focusing on expressiveness and meaning effects obtained with the lexical usage, we propose an analysis of the poem based on a lexical-discursive Stylistics, that observes the word in the context it is updated. We intend to verify, especially, how the lexical choices meet the expressive needs of the enunciator.Downloads
