Instructions for reviewers

Reviewers’ Duties

Confidentiality: The papers received for analysis must be treated as confidential documents; please refrain from sharing any information regarding the manuscripts with third parties.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and avoid using any ideas obtained from reviewing the manuscripts for personal gain.

Citation of Sources: Reviewers are expected to identify pertinent published works that the authors may not have cited. Additionally, reviewers should inform the editors of any significant similarities or overlaps between the manuscript under consideration and other articles they are aware of that have been published.

Suggestions for the reviewer to consider:

  1. the relevance of the article to the theme of the call;
  2. the originality of the text and its potential contribution to its respective area of knowledge;
  3. clarity in formulating objectives;
  4. consistency of theoretical foundation and methodological procedures employed;
  5. quality of analysis;
  6. pertinence of the articulation between theory, methodology, and analysis in relation to the objectives of the article;
  7. compliance with formal and structural expectations of the scientific article genre;
  8. quality of writing;
  9. relevance and currency of the bibliographic references utilized
