This work discusses the book “Jews and Palestinians in the Late Ottoman Era, 1908-1914: Claiming the Homeland” (2020) by Louis Fishman. Through the reflections proposed in the book, it seeks to highlight the importance of studying the final years of Ottoman History in order to understand the origins of the current Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
