Primeiramente, discutem-se alguns aspectos do trabalho recente de Schaeffer sobre o cogito cartesiano e de suas consequências na história da filosofia e das ciências humanas e sociais. Em seguida discute-se a subjetivização das teorias dos signos e considera-se o caso da teoria da enunciação de Émile Benveniste como um exemplo que Schaeffer chama de “Tese da exceção humana”, mostrando, de acordo com o ponto de vista do autor, as contradições da crítica de Benveniste ao princípio saussureano da arbitrariedade do signo.Downloads
