Felix the Cat and devices : cartoon to comic books
Abstract
This article want to observe as a graphic protagonist, notably Felix the Cat, behaves, in his narrative, with the translation of its diegetic narrative mechanisms after the change of media devices. Using the theoretical framework of David Bordwell and Jean-Louis Baudry about the visual narratives, the goal here is to reflect on this exercise of style and formula, as well as unveiling the strategies of media devices Cartoons and comics, which make Felix the cat be a milestone in the early days of the two media practices.Downloads
