Abstract

This article deals with the creative process of some poetic-philosophical comics which have been published in the first issues of the magazine Artlectos e Póshumanos, by Edgar Franco. The chosen comics are considered to be the most relevant for they briefly underline the theoretical and medial references that were used as basis for their creation, and also for its poetic and aesthetic intentions. The selected comics - Upgrade, brinGuedoTeCA, Gênesis Revisto and Híbrido Ícaro - take place within the fictional transmedia universe known as “Posthuman Dawn”, which is a science fiction world inspired by the technological advances in the fields of biotechnology, nano-robotics and virtual reality, and also by the technognostic manifestations that come attached to the
