Abstract

The study seeks to understand the impasse lived by
the narrator of the novel In slow motion (1977), Renato
Tapajós, that is constituted by a resistance disposition,
which in this case implies aggressiveness, even when
it shows signs of melancholy, deep sadness and fear
what, in general, inhibits any aggressive attitude. This
impasse produces deeply disruptive effects on the process
of formal construction of narrative, and therefore
it deserves particular attention.
