Abstract

Interview with Daniel Serravalle de Sá, in which he reflects on the literary relationship between Brazil and Europe, Gothic elements present in Brazilian fiction, reality and horror, silence in literature, the presence of fantastic elements in the construction of the Brazilian popular imagination, the formation of the Brazilian literary canon, some challenges faced by Brazilian writers of fantastic literature, the relationship between the character Zé do Caixão and his symbolism in Brazilian society, among other relevant topics to think about the Brazilian fictional uncanny.
