Abstract

This article investigates the reconfiguration of organizational crisis in platform societies, arguing that it shifts from an exceptional event to a permanent structural condition of communication. Based on a qualitative, critical, and documentary methodological approach, which analyzes emblematic cases such as the Facebook Papers and regulatory frameworks, the study demonstrates that opaque algorithmic mediation, engagement logic, and recursive circulation shift crisis governance from the strategic-organizational to the infrastructural plane. The main results reveal the limits of classic crisis communication models, centered on discursive control and reputational recovery, and highlight crisis as a sociotechnical phenomenon produced and amplified by the very architectures of digital platforms.
