Economical sustainability as a strategic position in the businesses of the “new” Baixada Santista: professional demands for public relations

This study presents a brief prognosis on the professional field of public relations regarding the process of economic development of the Santos Lowland. Based on an analysis of the economical and market environment, identifying the perspectives and challenges faced by organizations operating in that metropolitan region, which is undergoing dynamic reconfiguration. Sustainability, according to the empirical research explored in this study, arises as an emerging theme in that region of the São Paulo coast, signaling the professional demands in the area of Public Relations.
