Abstract

This article addresses the relationship between the narrating style of the fantastic realism and the techniques used in the production of special effects for the remake of the Saramandaia soap opera broadcast in 2013. Very present in Brazilian soap operas, a genre that evokes a thematic appeal for the supernatural gained prominence with Dias Gomes, in the first version of the plot. Aiming at describing the recent developments in the production of genre, the article will reveal the resources used in the construction of the plot and of the characters of the new version of Saramandaia .
