New dissochaetus species and nomenclatural notes on some neotropical species of cholevinae (Coleoptera, Leiodidae)

Abstract

The following four species are described: Dissochaetus amazonicus, sp.n. and Dissochaetuscupulatus, sp.n. from forests in Amazonas state, Brazil, Dissochaetusliliae, sp.n., from cavesin Minas Gerais and Goiás states, Brazil, and Dissochaetus navarretei, sp.n., from Mexico: the so far unknown male of Dissochaetus immaculatus Pic is described, and the female lectotype of the speciesis designated: Dissochaetus murrayi lamiensis Salgado-Costas is synonymized with the nominal subspecies Dissochaetus murrayi Reitter; the type locality of Dissochaetus geayi Portevin, formerly belonging to French Guyana, presently belongs to Brazil: and Dasypelates obscurus Pic is synonymized with Falkocholeva cribellate (Fairmarie&Germain).
