Abstract

The Cyclocephala castanea species group is formally delimited to include six South American species, including two here newly described: C. monnei sp. nov. from Corumbá municipality, Mato Grosso do Sul state, in the Pantanal domain, and C. figueroai sp. nov. from Iquitos province, Loreto department, Peru, in western Amazon. The other species are C. castanea (Olivier, 1789), C. hardyi Endrödi, 1975, and C. kuijteni Hielkema, 2023, from the Amazon, and C. pygidialis Joly, 2000, from Sabana province. The diagnosis for the species group is provided, along with a taxonomic key for adult males and an updated.
