Abstract

Two new striking species of Brachys (Coleoptera: Buprestidae: Tracheini) are described from Brazil. Brachys corniger sp. nov. described for Mato Grosso represents the second species of the genus known to exhibit vertex apophyses forming horn-like structures. Brachys monnei sp. nov., described from Amazonas, differs from its congeners primarily in body shape and pubescence patterns.
