Abstract

This paper aims to describe a new skipper species from Brazil: Cornuphallus rio sp. nov., based on a male holotype and a female allotype from the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, Brazil. This new species represents the first record of the genus in the Atlantic Forest Biome. Also, it is the first time that the female genitalia of a species of the genus is illustrated and described.
