Color is one of the environments perceptible aspects and a means of information necessary for architecture interpretation, with physiological and psychological reflexes on individuals. This research aimed to identify the levels of affect related to the environmental perception of color in the hospital dialysis sector. A total of 115 individuals were interviewed, including patients, companions, and medical staff from two hospitals, in a random convenience sample. A two-dimensional model of affect, the PANAS-VPR scale, was used, as a function of the environments experienced and their digitally colored images with a predominance of four distinct, complementary and high-value hues, using Munsell notations as a reference. Data analysis was performed through descriptive statistics and content analysis of users' observations. The results showed that the built environment, mostly white, has lower medians of positive affect in relation to the chromatic schemes simulations (edited photographs), which showed high median positive affect with prevalent cold arrangements, followed by prevalent warm arrangements. The users general preference was higher for the arrangement with a light blue predominance, followed by light green, beige, light pink and, finally, the real environment white.
