The adaptation of Coping Strategies Inventory by Folkman and Lazarus into Portuguese

The purpose of this study is to adapt to Portuguese Folkman and Lazarus' questionnaire on the ways of coping with stressful life events. A translation of this questionnaire to Portuguese was first examined by four judges, who considered it adequate in terms of interpretation. The reliability of the Portuguese form was estimated by test-retest and split-half methods. The validity was basically evaluated by the factor analysis method. The results showed correspondence between the original form of the questionnaire and its translation .Downloads
