Among the relevant conceptions for Social Psychology we stress: the distirection and the relations between individual memory and collective memory; the concept of the confrontation of witnesses; the tensious and complementariedade between history and collective memory. As an example of the ressonância of these concepts in the field of research in Social Psychology we comment ou some aspect of research carried out in tradutional communities of the Juréia-Itatins Echological Station on the southen coast of São Paulo.
