Resumen

This paper deals with the concept of the Unconscious in the works of Freud and Groddeck. There is a complex relationship between the ideas of these authors, which is demonstrated by the models that each one elected for the representation of the psychic apparatus. Freud’s choice was the Telescope, that sees faraway, looking through imense distances, searching Man. Groddeck's way of looking the human reality is the Kaleidoscope, the mutative and multicoloured instrument that re-creates continuously what is seen.
