Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the first version of The Three Essays (Freud, 1905) and a careful study of its successive editions. On one hand, it intends to show Freud's inquires by 1905, on the sexual instinct source and directions. On the other hand, it mentions the subsequent discoveries incidences of the Freudian theory on the instincts as well as the psychical system, in relation to the formulations initially shown, specially on the ego and the sexuality genesis. Based on J. Laplanche's ideas about the Theory of Generalized Seduction, the author has tried to identify the rupture with the biological deviations of the Freudian theory on the instincts, mentioned in the various editions of The Tree Essays and considered essential to review the basis of the psychic being and even the whole sexuality.
