Résumé

The objective o f this essay is to indicate some of the basic elements which should be considered within the study o f the subjectivity by Psychology. In order to do this, the limits o f the object o f study of Psychology have been outlined, highlighting its constitution originating from social mediation. The article utilizes itself of contemporary reflections in the works o f theorists of the School of Frankfurt, having a particular emphasis on Adorno, Horkheimer, and Marcuse to demonstrate the relation between the constitution of subjectivity and the idea of formation. Herein the idea that in order to study subjectivity, it is necessary for the psychologist not only his specific knowledge but also the understanding of philosophical and sociological notions related to his objective as well as a thorough contact with literature and art.
