The relation between art and madness is considered from the point of view of works of art produced in asylums and exhibited in art museums. In this transition, the historically situation of madness is analyzed concerning visual order and it’s cultural, psychological and aesthetic implications in art history, specially after the emergence of the notion of art brut. Finally, it’s also considered the impact of art brut on the outsider artist and on the spectator’s perception.##plugins.themes.default.displayStats.downloads##
