Abstract

La antropóloga Verena Stolcke fue la primera mujer profesora del Instituto de Filosofía y Ciencias Humanas (IFCH) de la Universidad Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), en 1971. En plena dictadura militar en Brasil, junto a Antonio Augusto Arantes y Peter Fry, fue responsable por fundar el área de antropología de la Unicamp. Durante los ocho años que vivió en el país, tuvo bajo su dirección antropólogas y antropólogos de renombre, como Mariza Correa, que infelizmente murió a finales de 2016, y Luiz Mott, uno de los fundadores del Grupo Gay de Bahía (GGB), en Salvador...
