This essay promotes an analysis of “gender ideology” and its articulation with the debate on psychology performances on current social demands regarding sexual and gender diversity. Taking some public debates held in the legislative and judiciary concerning Resolution 01/99 of the Federal Council of Psychology (FCP), it seeks to reflect on a heterogeneous network of correlation of forces that mobilizes secular and democratic arguments in the debate on gender readjustment and sexuality. It is based on the Foucaultian perspective of discursive strategies and tactics that make up the technologies of power, regarding the transformations in the sexuality device, as the clash uses the legal language, articulating laws, scientific knowledge and religious cosmologies in the production of new forms of political action around the so called "gay cure".
