Abstract

This article explores the socializing process in schools of entryinto police institutions, taking into account the life stories that students constructabout their changing process. If police training stimulates in them abreak between civil society and police, how the students assemble the storiesthat allow them to think and perform – to others and to themselves –that new identity? This article explores the tension with which students experiment,explain and respond to the socializing process.
