The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of company size on the management of external sources of technological information. The survey was carried out in innovative manufacturing companies in Brazil, with the aim of contributing to inferences about technology management and innovative performance. The analysis of the relation between the management of external sources of technological information and the performance, according to the size of the companies, revealed that significant differences exist, especially in relation to aspects of managerial structure, access to technology, to the external sources of technological information and to indicators of innovative performance. The analyses highlight the contribution of partnerships and external relationships in the choice of modality of access to the technology and in the source of technological information, irrespective of the size of the companies.Downloads
