Abstract

The aim of this paper is to undertake the innovation and strategy, emphasizing this correlation, therefore it is believed that innovation is consequence of a strategic thought developed initially by the upper management of the firm, translated and diffused to all organization levels through the mission. It is intended to develop a bibliographical revision and analysis of empirical studies published more recently in scientific magazines, correlating these with the challenge of seeking in their contributions the answer to three questions: ¿What strategic behaviors favor the innovation in the organization? What factors are determinant and drive the organization to looking for innovation? What kind of relations exists among the strategic thought, creativity and innovation? It can be anticipated that there are desirable strategic behaviors and that conduct toward an environment that favors the innovation, as well as factors related to flexible attitudes, of acceptance of new ideas, that favor the creativity, the opening toward the new thing, to the changes of the environment. These strategic behaviors characterize the existing relation among the strategic thinking the strategy (through the mission), the creativity and the innovation as consequence.
