Abstract

This paper shows a study for verifying how hnowlegde learned in school is assimilated by adults in an Alphabetization Program of the University of Rio de Janeiro. An experiment has demonstrated that students have more problems in language than in mathematics. It has also proved that they use experience of life to solve some questions on"school literacy"
