Abstract

This article is a result of bibliographical research made by the Group of Research "Studies about migrante populations in Brazil and in the world: the paper of school institution", supported between 2004/ 2006 by FAPESP, and, since 2004, by CNPq. In this text, we will present for the reader the life of Eduardo Mondlane (his family, his studies, his ideals and other important aspects). We will also make salient, in this direction, the importance of Craveirinha, poet, for Mondlane's ideas. To understand this man we will also approach some aspects of Mozambiquean territory before, during and after the Portuguese invasion. This way, FRELIMO's formation will be emphasized. Finally, we will dedicate some pages of this material to write about some actual problems in Mozambique, without Mondlane's presence after his brutal murder and the actuality of his ideas and actions to the country that he helped to liberate and to other ones whose histories are similar.
