The presence of hypercorrection in texts of popular tutors for reading and writing: contributions to PALOPs

This work aims to study some interferences from orality and mechanisms of hypercorrection in writing language in its standard variety. We purpose the analysis of writing production by popular tutors for reading and writing from country side of Piauí, a Brazilian State. This selection of corpus was possible by the partnership between Universidade Federal de Santa Maria and a state program: Programa Alfabetização Solidária. It was selected 24 texts produced by teachers from two different towns of North-eastern. In these texts was find several linguistics marks worth studying but, in this work, we concentrate on phenomena which we descript in terms of hypercorrection. Each text was attentive read and then we looked for every slightly observable linguistics marks, searching to detach interferences from orality and hypercorrection in the textual production. The analysis showed, besides some detours from standard variety, the inadequate use of connectors, even with repercussion in the textual coherence. The corpus has been analyzed under the perspective of the sociolinguistic theory, differentiating the uses of forms of the language, searching to build a theoretic referential based on social aspects for instance the social imaginary around the teacher, as so well, searching a base in the specific references of the linguistics studies for instance the hypercorrection.Downloads
