Abstract

This article recovers Mário Pedrosa’s reflection on modern art at international level and discusses his view on concretism and neo-concretism in Brazilian context. Also, this text points out the links between artistic form and social matter proposed by Pedrosa’s work to understand his position in relation to North American pop art and its Brazilian counterpart after 1964.
