Abstract

According to the geographer Milton Santos, territory is formed by overlapping of activities and spheres of political, economic and social life, in a dynamic mode. It acts as a conjuncture of multiple forces that operates in different degrees, redesigning it constantly, through relations of horizontality and verticality. Comparisons and critical reflections on Latin American Art are structured through to the system of arts. These practices are interpreted by intellectuals, curators and writers in interviews, with the purpose of apprehending the current dynamics about what is understood by Latin American Art, and questioning the nature of actions in this field, apparently guided exclusively by profit practices.
