Lapidis fata ignoramus: uma reavaliação do relevo funerário palmireniano do Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia (Universidade de São Paulo, Brasil)

O Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia da Universidade de São Paulo (Brasil) possui um relevo funerário palmireno, uma das duas peças do gênero preservadas na América Latina. Neste artigo, o relevo é reexaminado por meio de uma análise iconográfica, epigráfica e prosopográfica. Primeiramente, apresentamos dados sobre o histórico de aquisição da peça, bem como uma interpretação de seus principais elementos iconográficos. Em seguida, o epitáfio em aramaico palmireno do relevo (PAT 0650) é examinado por meio de sua transliteração, tradução, notas paleográficas e uma análise onomástica de cada um dos antropônimos mencionados. Por fim, um comentário prosopográfico é oferecido com base nos vínculos genealógicos do epitáfio com outros dois relevos inscritos (PAT 0651 e PAT 0652).
